Filled to the brim with sequins and glamorous jewels, what girl wouldn't want a closet like Mary Alice Stephenson's? Though she's got an entire floor devoted to her collection, I love the idea of incorporating sentimental touches like photographs, books, and special pieces on display.

It's no secret I love a good San Francisco time lapse video, but this one, with all the people and cars removed? Eerily beautiful.

All of Annie's outfit photos make me anxious for a real fall. We're getting our Indian Summer, so it's actually 80 degrees and sunny here.

Fancy up your Halloween decor with Brookelyn's glitter pumpkins.

I must be living under a rock to not know about Amanda Genther, but it's safe to say I'll be devouring her archives all weekend.

Taking advantage of a lazy weekend with zero plans and doing a bit of fall soup making and baking.

What are you doing this weekend?

I'm really pumped to share today's favorite space with you all - and rather than a whole house I wanted to focus on one space we all dream about - a gorgeous closet. Even if the contents of your closet is limited, like me, who wouldn't want a space where they can dream up new outfits all day?

The October issue of Architectural Digest is full of pages and pages of inspiration. I love the fresh breath of air Margaret Russell brought to the publication.

I was thrilled to see the Manhattan home of Nina Garcia - I think she's incredibly chic. More importantly, she dresses in a way that's attainable for any woman. Who can't find a great pair of black toothpick pants and a great blazer, at many price points?

Her closet is largely neutrals, yet everything has incredible texture and pattern to keep things interesting.  I'll jump right in and offer to take all of this, in my size. What about you?

Are you a documentary junkie? We are. Several of these went straight to the Netflix queue.

Introducing Moleskin photo books. Can't wait to order one of these to complete one of my 30 Before 30 projects.

Grace always kills it in the DIY jewelry department. I'm going to get crafty and make these soon.

This mask has my skin looking incredible. Thanks to Lisa and Erin for the recommendation!

Have a happy weekend! What are your plans - anything exciting?

This week's space hails from my former home - Atlanta. Designed by Matthew Quinn and Ric Parrish of Design Galleria as their personal residence in the Luxe building in Midtown, it's sleek and modern while still being comfortable. If you've been around here long enough, you know this is the look I prefer.

Matthew Quinn has an amazing line of hardware, and much of the hardware in the penthouse are his own designs. Coupled with his kitchen & bath design skills, the result is jaw-dropping details like smoke glass doors, striata marble countertops, and a soaking tub with a view of the Atlanta skyline.

I am the worst at telling people when things are going badly with me, especially here on the blog. I try to keep this a happy, beautiful place full of lovely images and inspiring things, but I also know that many of you are here because we're friends or we've become fast friends.

I owe you an explanation.

Over the last couple of weeks I've had a few health scares that put me in the hospital twice. More times than I've been in the hospital my whole life in the span of two weeks. Obviously, this was quite alarming, and feeling out of sorts and not really having a clear answer was the even bigger concern.

As it turns out, I'm going to be alright. Some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, and I'm all cured up.

But if you've been noticing some silence around here, that is why. It's all I can do to get regular responsibilities done.

I am going to take the rest of the weekend to relax and get better, but in the mean time, here are some great things I read this week that I know you'll like too. Have an incredible weekend!

The FF Chartwell typeface allows you to make infographic charts quick and easy. How rad does this look?

I have a soft spot for Chelsea Clinton as a fellow gluten free girl, but I love her even more after this Vogue article.

I'm excited for Oh Joy blogger Joy Cho's book launch at West Elm in the Bay Area. Are you going? Can't wait to read it!

When I saw this space in Maggie's post on Coco + Kelley, I just had to track down other work from the designer, Darren Palmer. This is the look I love. Dark, a little moody, and slightly masculine.

Darren's interiors use black liberally. I love the edge that it adds to each room, sometimes balancing bright whites and beiges, other times creating drama when used as the main color.

What do you think? Do you like this look?

I have a permanent goofy grin on my face after watching this video.

This music festival starts at noon in Golden Gate Park. We live right by it, so while traffic will be heavy and the buses will be crowded and there's sure to be some obnoxious revelers, I'm looking forward to hearing some great tunes from my living room for free.

Remember Webvan? Something similar is back in San Francisco!

Century21 has an outlet store on eBay. You're welcome.

This month's Blog Brunch topic was extremely helpful. Here's the recap.

When I stumbled across these photos of Villa Avenstar in St. Barts this week, I just knew I had to share them with you. Strikingly modern against its natural setting, the white exterior lets the surrounding pools and scenery steal the show. Don't you think this would be a good spot for our blogger beach vacation? Just don't take a peek at the rates.

And now, for this week's links...

I'm always inspired by people that take their expertise in one area and translate it in to several different careers. In the case of London based Rose Uniacke, she is a furniture restorer, a highly respected antiques dealer, and an interior designer. You know how your heart gets all fluttery when you run across a website that just...speaks to you? The one that has you pinning every single image and saving to your inspiration file?

There's no shortage of eye candy on Rose Uniacke's site. You'll find interiors with an eclectic mix of antiques and effortless appeal. This London home particularly caught my eye.  Check out the rest of the images and Friday links at the bottom. Happy weekend!

I've decided to expand the Friday featured space in to not one, but multiple images of the space that's caught my eye this week. Partly because I have trouble choosing just one image in what is often a well designed home from top to bottom, and partly because I hate finding a single image of a space and not being able to locate images of the rest of the home. What do you think? Would you enjoy seeing more images of these spaces each week? Check out the rest of the images and Friday links at the bottom. Happy weekend!

This week's favorite space is The Barcode House, a project by David Jameson Architect, located in Washington DC. I have a thing for city row homes and I love the use of glass mixed with brick and steel in this space.

Blog Brunch last weekend was fantastic - it was all about Facebook pages for your blog. Are you a fan of Seventeenth & Irving on Facebook? I try and post photos from my weekend there that might not make it to the blog - especially of my farmer's market adventures! Check out the full recap here.

I was honored to be spotlighted in this post and this post. Thank you Kate and Thea!

I'm back this Friday with my favorite space I've seen this week - this dining room from designer Luis Bustamante. I'm always a fan of rooms that are navy bordering on black. I blame it on that November 2008 issue of Domino featuring Jenna Lyons' home. I decided then and there I would paint my walls that dark one day, and I did it in my first place I lived in alone back in Atlanta. Unfortunately, we can't paint here or you can bet that it would have been duplicated here in San Francisco!

I would also like to apologize for the light posting the last two weeks - I had a major client event that involved traveling back to the East coast, and between the time zone changes and the jam packed schedule, I still haven't recovered! I am looking forward to a little R&R this weekend after celebrating a best friend's birthday tonight. What are you up to this weekend?

Some reading material for your weekend (do you have a habit of staying in bed late with your iPad and coffee? Just me? Okay, moving along...)

8 core beliefs of extraordinary bosses and 5 things remarkable bosses never do. I am committing these articles to memory. I've worked for both types and these articles really hit home.

Who doesn't dream of taking a year off work and traveling? See how this couple did it, but for FIVE years.

And finally, I'll be fairly busy again with work the next month. I would love to have some of my favorite bloggers post while I'm away. If you're interested in guest posting on Seventeenth & Irving, please contact me! I would love to have you!

If I had to pick one designer to align my personal style with, I would have to say Nate Berkus. I feel like he always knocks it out of the park with that collected eclectic feel that never feels too designer, but always feels comfortable. I'm smitten over that tufted sofa paired with the leather chairs. There's a great article about the makeover of this home office on House Beautiful's site. Now if only my office could look like this one. Who am I kidding? If only I had a whole room for an office!

After a brutal lightning storm last night, it's all sunshine and blue skies in San Francisco. Happy Weekend! It's Friday and I'm looking forward to some time outside - it's been rainy the last two weekends in San Francisco, but sun is in the forecast and the farmer's market at the Ferry Building is on my agenda!

Speaking of the Ferry Building, Mariposa Baking Company just opened their permanent stall there with even more gluten free goodness than before.

This Tumblr had me laughing out loud like a crazy person.

Blog Brunch is this weekend - right from your home desk! I think I'll make some gluten free pancakes and join in for the first time, thanks Kate for introducing me to it.

These new prints from Jess LC are sure to keep you motivated. Which one would you choose? I'm leaning towards this one.

Enjoy your weekend! What are your plans?

Don't you just love this bedroom? It toes the line between masculine and feminine, with tailored details in the upholstered headboard and bench, and a feminine touch with the pillow shams. The room feels light and airy, but still grounded with the contrast of the rug, the darker artwork on the pale walls, and dark furniture.
