FAVORITE SPACE + FRIDAY LINKS

June 8, 2012

I've decided to expand the Friday featured space in to not one, but multiple images of the space that's caught my eye this week. Partly because I have trouble choosing just one image in what is often a well designed home from top to bottom, and partly because I hate finding a single image of a space and not being able to locate images of the rest of the home. What do you think? Would you enjoy seeing more images of these spaces each week? Check out the rest of the images and Friday links at the bottom. Happy weekend!

This week's favorite space is The Barcode House, a project by David Jameson Architect, located in Washington DC. I have a thing for city row homes and I love the use of glass mixed with brick and steel in this space.

Here are nine qualities of extraordinary entrepreneurs - and whether you're an entrepreneur or not - they just make good business sense.

Ever wonder who is behind those great Google Doodles? Meet the Google Doodle team.

Bring back the 40 hour work week! Do you work more than 40 hours a week? I know I do. I found this article about what each hour after 40 does to your brain, health, and productivity.

If you don't live in San Francisco and you were curious about the fireworks I mentioned here, check out the entire show in high definition with synchronized music by KFOG here. If nothing else, you should watch the first two minutes just to see the breathtaking waterfall effect that started the show.

Blog Brunch last weekend was fantastic - it was all about Facebook pages for your blog. Are you a fan of Seventeenth & Irving on Facebook? I try and post photos from my weekend there that might not make it to the blog - especially of my farmer's market adventures! Check out the full recap here.

I was honored to be spotlighted in this post and this post. Thank you Kate and Thea!

A special thank you to Erin, Jess, and Kate for sharing their Blogger Beach Bags with you guys this week. Thanks ladies!
