BLOGGER BEACH BAG - KATE FROM STRIPES AND POLKA DOTS

Every year my family goes to the Outer Banks in August.  My wedding was in August last year, so my family pushed back their vacation and went while we were on our honeymoon, which means that I'm looking forward to it a little extra this year.  Our trip is always relaxing, and I love to bring a little bag of fun things to do.  Reading is always my first choice (I just finished that book and if you haven't read it yet, you should. Maybe pack some tissues while you're at it.) but I also love to sketch, and this year I can't wait to play with my camera on the beach.  This year I'm really looking forward to unplugging and getting in some creative time by the ocean.

Key West is one of those places I have yet to visit, but isn't out of the realm of possible travel in the coming months. It seems like the Keys symbolize a slower pace of life, and I love the idea of being surrounded by the ocean. If I was on vacation in Key West, I would enjoy plenty of seafood and revel in the sunshine.

During our honeymoon, my husband & I spent a few fabulous days in Arenal, Costa Rica & then relaxed on the beach in Manual Antonio for the remainder of our stay. Costa Rica is such a gorgeous country with so many exciting activities; we enjoyed hiking & ziplining through the rainforest. While adventuring is fun, I usually prefer lounging & relaxing on the beach with little else on the agenda.
