FAVORITE SPACE 04.06.12 + FRIDAY LINKS

Couldn't you just sit at this dinner table with your guests for hours? Round to enhance conversation, comfortable chairs to encourage lingering, and a modern warmth that has a timeless appeal? If you like this room, check out the rest of "The Warm Side of Modern" in the April issue of House Beautiful. Design Within Reach CEO John Edelman and his wife Bonnie have the ultimate resource at their fingertips with DWR, and their home is quite the showcase of everything wonderful about iconic furniture pieces. If there ever was a home where yours truly would move right in, this is it.

Happy Weekend! It's Friday and I'm looking forward to some time outside - it's been rainy the last two weekends in San Francisco, but sun is in the forecast and the farmer's market at the Ferry Building is on my agenda!

Speaking of the Ferry Building, Mariposa Baking Company just opened their permanent stall there with even more gluten free goodness than before.

This Tumblr had me laughing out loud like a crazy person.

While this Tumblr had me pinning every image for travel style inspiration. Could she be any more beautiful?

Blog Brunch is this weekend - right from your home desk! I think I'll make some gluten free pancakes and join in for the first time, thanks Kate for introducing me to it.

These new prints from Jess LC are sure to keep you motivated. Which one would you choose? I'm leaning towards this one.

Enjoy your weekend! What are your plans?

My Favorite Room This Week, November 25th

When you think of architectural details, glossy white paint might immediately come to mind. But look what happens when you paint them in a dramatic charcoal grey. This study is masculine in color but feminine in detail, a room either gender wouldn't mind spending time in.

My Favorite Room This Week, November 18th

November 18, 2011

The best rooms, the dreamiest rooms, are those that aren't bought all at once, but rather, collected as time passes. A special piece of art here, a trinket from travels there, a favorite antique showcased in a new way. Does it take a while to finally appear "done"? Yes. But well worth the wait. The end result? The dreamy bedroom above.
